Join us as we learn career advice from Jennifer Binkley-Heiting, President and CEO of Altura Credit Union!

Jennifer Binkley-Heiting is the President and CEO of Altura Credit Union, a $2.4 billion financial cooperative headquartered in Riverside, CA. Since being named President in 2017, Binkley-Heiting has focused on enhancing the Member experience, increasing Altura’s financial performance and stability, and becoming a top employer in the Inland Empire. Under her leadership, Altura has experienced growth in assets and Membership combined with higher levels of Member loyalty and increased employee engagement. 

Binkley-Heiting has worked for Altura for over 20 years in a variety of roles including, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for over 9 years leading the credit union’s retail delivery channels, lending, marketing, and strategic planning with an emphasis on increasing membership, creating new products and building new relationships.

Binkley-Heiting  joined Altura in 2002 as President of the credit union’s Auto Expert subsidiary, an auto locating and buying service. Under her leadership, Auto Expert was recognized with the Gold Level California Award for Performance Excellence (CAPE) from the California Council on Excellence in 2008.  In addition to the Gold Award in 2008, then California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger recognized Auto Expert with the prestigious Governor’s Award of Excellence, the highest honor among CAPE awardees.

Binkley-Heiting earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Redlands.  She earned her CCE designation from CUES CEO Institute and recently earned her Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion certificate through the CUES eCornell program.

Binkley-Heiting believes credit unions play a vital role in improving their local communities and has demonstrated that commitment through numerous programs and initiatives throughout Riverside County, such being a key contributor toward The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art and Culture and creating the Small Business Empowerment Grant.  Outside of work, Binkley-Heiting is a Peleton enthusiast and loves to read and cook.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, Hans, and their three beautiful children being outdoors while hiking, skiing, and golfing.
