I joined PICK because: I heard that it was THE place for young professionals to make an impact in Riverside.

nick Adcock

past President

I am: 35

I’m a young professional at: Vice President at the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce.

I get involved in my community through the following organization(s): Habitat for Humanity Riverside, Leadership Riverside Class of 2013, UCR Alumni Association

I’m proud of these achievements: I coordinated multiple grassroots campaigns to advocate for state funding of the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine, led an advocacy campaign for predatory litigation reform and organized the Chamber’s advocacy efforts to the independent California Citizen’s Redistricting Commission to improve state and federal legislative representation in Riverside County.

I am a happy resident in the City of: Riverside

My career goals are to: Continue working at the Chamber and make a difference in my community.

My professional motto is: “Work Hard, Play Hard.”

My advice to other YoPros is: Never walk into a meeting without pen and paper in hand. Typing notes on your phone or taking screenshots does not count.

When I’m not working or volunteering, you can find me: Finding as many different ways to injure myself through hiking, running, cycling, and soccer.

PICK is awesome because: The people I have met via Pick have become some of my closest friends. I know I can rely on them for pretty much anything.

I maximize my PICK membership by: Serving on the board and engaging new members.

The issues in Riverside that I care about most are: Developing Riverside as the next great U.S. city for good jobs, great schools, vibrant entertainment, and plentiful options for outdoor activities.
