This Thursday is another installment of the Pick Power Breakfast, August 19th, 2010 at 7:30a, The Pick Power Breakfast will be hosted by the law offices of Reid & Hellyer. Reid & Hellyer is located at 3880 Lemon Street, on the 5th Floor, Riverside, CA 92502. Our guest speaker will be Dr. David Stewart, the Dean of the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Riverside, who will discuss marketing yourself and your business in the new economy. Below is a brief biography of Dr. Stewart and attached to this e-mail is the agenda for Thursday’s meeting. Reid & Hellyer will also have breakfast for everyone. According to UCR.edu, prior to assuming his responsibilities as dean in July of 2007 he was a member of the faculty of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California where he held the Robert E. Brooker Chair in Marketing and served as deputy dean of the School for five years and served two terms as Chairman of the Department of Marketing. Prior to moving to Southern California in 1986 he was senior associate dean and associate professor of marketing at the Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University. Dr. Stewart is a past editor of the Journal of Marketing and is the current Editor of the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science. He presently serves on the Board of Governors of the Academy of Marketing Science. He has served as Vice President, Finance and as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Marketing Association. He has also served on the Board of the AMA Foundation. He is a past-president of the Academic Council of the American Marketing Association, a past chairman of the Section on Statistics in Marketing of the American Statistical Association, a past president of the Society for Consumer Psychology and a Fellow of both the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society. He is also a former member and past-chairman of the United States Census Bureau’s Advisory Committee of Professional Associations.
